7.6/10

My stay at Luton Hoo was mixed—while the surroundings and the hotel itself are absolutely stunning, the service left a lot to be desired. I loved the spacious and well-kept rooms, and the property's character truly shines. However, the lack of attentive service during my stay and the limited dining options on certain nights were disappointing. Overall, it’s a lovely place to unwind, but be prepared for some hiccups in service.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were enormous and very clean, definitely a highlight of our stay. They were modern and spacious, but a little air conditioning would have made them even better.
Service
5.0
While the staff tried to be helpful, their service felt a bit uncoordinated. There were moments where I felt like they could have been more attentive and organized.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is breathtaking, surrounded by miles of green fields and beautiful landscapes. It felt like a tranquil getaway far from the hustle and bustle.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were a bit hit or miss, especially with the restaurant not open on Monday evenings. The charges for specific dishes felt excessive, which was disappointing.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities, including the swimming pool and jacuzzi area, were well-maintained and enjoyable to use. However, there wasn't much else to do besides relaxing.

5.4/10

I had high expectations for our stay at Luton Hoo, given its grand facade and past reputation, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by various disappointments. The rooms were spacious and had a touch of elegance, but the dining options fell flat, with cold and uninspiring food. The location is picturesque, yet facilities like the spa urgently need improvement. While it could be a stunning retreat, I left feeling let down after paying quite a premium for my stay.

Rooms
7.0
The room we stayed in was spacious and elegantly decorated, featuring high ceilings and beautiful furnishings. However, the shower was unusable, delivering only scalding hot water.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent—while some staff attempted to be accommodating, others seemed poorly trained and overwhelmed, particularly during busy periods.
Location
8.0
Luton Hoo is set in beautiful grounds, providing a serene escape, yet the distance to some facilities like the spa left much to be desired.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a major letdown, with both breakfast and dinner served cold and lacking in flavour. The breakfast setting was lovely, but the food quality did not match.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were disappointing, particularly the spa area, which felt chaotic and more like a public pool than a luxury retreat. There was a lack of tranquility and proper amenities.

8.0/10

Our stay at the hotel was truly wonderful, marked by spacious and beautifully kept rooms, as well as friendly, attentive staff who went out of their way to ensure our comfort. However, the spa facilities were somewhat lacking, and the dining experience could have been improved with more variety and faster service. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway that I would gladly revisit.

Rooms
9.0
The junior suite we stayed in was huge, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. It had a lovely bathroom with double sinks and a big bath, which added to the luxurious feel.
Service
9.0
The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, always ready to assist. They made our stay extra special, especially with their attentiveness during dinner.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal for our plans, particularly being close to the spa and the restaurant, making it very convenient for my 84-year-old nan.
Dining
7.0
While the dinner was good and the breakfast lovely, the limited selection and slower service could use some improvement. I was hoping for more vegetarian options, especially at breakfast.
Facilities
6.0
The spa area, although nice, felt a bit cramped given the number of guests. The pool was cold, and the amenities could use some enhancements.

6.4/10

I had a lovely time during my afternoon tea visit, enjoying the beautiful historical building and stunning views from the terrace. The staff was attentive and the tea was delicious, which made for a wonderful experience. However, my experience during the New Year stay was less positive due to some organizational issues, and a recent stay left me feeling disappointed with the room quality for the price paid.

Rooms
5.0
The quality of the rooms varied significantly. While one room was comfortable and suitable, another had several issues like worn-out furniture and a poor layout, making it feel overpriced.
Service
6.0
Service was generally friendly and attentive, especially during afternoon tea, but there were notable inefficiencies during the New Year stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a beautiful setting with well-preserved grounds, providing lovely views and walks. It's conveniently near the airport, though that comes with some noise.
Dining
7.0
The afternoon tea was truly delightful, but New Year dining was overpriced for the quality offered.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, ideal for walks; however, the overall upkeep of the rooms could use some improvement.
